Question:
Will the motor fit on my back wheel?
Answer:
     A)    The "Electro Drive Conversion Kit can be adapted to a 32 or 36 spoke 3-cross pattern.
(3-cross means that each spoke is crossed by three other spokes between the spoke flange and
the outer rim where the spokes attach.
The drive adapter, which fits around the hub, is slotted to receive the spokes. A retaining plate
secures the spokes to the drive adapter. Although this adapter works well with rear hubs of a 1.5
inches or less diameter, it won't work with coaster-brake hubs, 3 speed hubs and Nexus
4 and 7 speed internal hubs.

    B)     The spoke adapter does take up a little room on the rear wheel shaft approximately
one inch. If the shaft on your rear rim is not long enough then you will need to either
purchase a longer shaft and install it or purchase a new back rim with the shaft long
             enough.

    C)     Just about all bikes are manufactured with a standard diameter centre yoke, that
is where all the spokes attach near the shaft at the centre of the wheel. The spoke
adapters are manufactured to fit this standard diameter.

If your bicycle's rear wheel hub size is greater than 1.5 inches in diameter or if the spoke flange diameter
is greater than 2 inches and you would like to intall one of these kits then you will have to purchase a new rear rim with the proper dimensions.

Question:

How can I tell which battery pack will fit my bike?

Answer:
If you have a "step through" frame, (commonly called a "girls bike"), you will need the Rack Mount, (RM), Conversion Kit. This battery pack and rack, (Figure 2), comes with the kit and looks like the one found on the E-Folder.

If you have a "boys bike", you will have to determine if you have enough room in the "V", (the space between the "down tube" and the "seat tube" under the "cross tube"), to accomodate the Hard Case Battery. The easiest way to do this is to make a template from a piece of cardboard.

Cut a small rectangle 7" X 12" and hold it in the "V", (Figure 3). If it fits in the "V" without interfering with the cross tube, the Hard Case Battery Pack SHOULD fit without any trouble.
